SS Green Light Racing Rolls Dice with Matt Kurzejewski at Las Vegas

Pennsylvania native Matt Kurzejewski will make his second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start Saturday evening at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway behind the wheel of the SS Green Light Racing No. 81.

The second-generation driver hopes to play his card right on the high-banked Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday night with the support of the Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino and Front Row Tailgating on his No. 81 Chevy Silverado.

Kurzejewski’s debut at Iowa three weeks ago did not turn out quite as well as he had hoped completing only 155 of the scheduled 200 laps and being credited with a 27th place finish. Matt is hoping change his luck Saturday night in Sin City. “Coming off of Iowa my ego is a little hurt, we clearly expected to run better than we did,” Kurzejewski said. “We had a bunch of nagging mechanical issues that hindered us and caused a lot of problems for us, hopefully we have some of those issues resolved.”

“I’m excited to go to Vegas for sure, very excited,” he continued. “This truck will be much better suited to Vegas than it was for Iowa, it was built to run on the mile-and a half and two-mile tracks.”

“It’s definitely a learning curve coming from Iowa and we accomplished most of our goals, but we didn’t get the finish we had hoped for. This week we are shooting to finish on the lead lap. I don’t have a lot of experience on the mile and a half tracks so I think that’s a pretty good goal to have at a fast track like Las Vegas. I feel like myself and crew chief Cal Boprey started to click at Iowa and hopefully we can build on that.”

Costy’s Energy Service will join Silver Sevens Casino and Front Row Tailgating on the No. 81 for the Smiths 350.

The Smiths 350 is the 308th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 2nd career start for Kurzejewski in the Truck Series. Caleb Roark will be behind the wheel of the Front Row Tailgating/Silver Sevens Casino No. 07 for SS Green Light Racing.

Both SS Green Light drivers are scheduled to join most of the NCWTS drivers in a free autograph session on Friday, September 27th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the South Point Hotel and Casino.
