Peck Motorsports Returns to NASCAR National Touring Series

Peck Motorsports, the only family-owned NASCAR race team competing out of Pennsylvania is poised to make its return to NASCAR this July. The Glenville-based team will compete in five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) events with driver Todd Peck behind the wheel of the No. 96 Chevrolet Silverado.

With the 25-year-old Peck behind the wheel, Peck Motorsports’ five-race NCWTS campaign will begin at Iowa Speedway in the Iowa 200 on July 16. The team will also be at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, Ind., for the AAA Insurance 200 on July 29. On August 24, Peck Motorsports will tackle the high banks of Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, followed by the F.W. Babb 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 24. Peck Motorsports will close out its schedule at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway in the Kroger 200 on October 29.

Although a different look, Peck Motorsports is not new to the national ranks of stock car racing. Todd Peck’s father, Dr. Mike Peck, and uncle, Tom Peck, previously operated the family operation in the NASCAR Nationwide Series throughout the 90s with Tom behind the wheel. The team was able to collect more than 50 top-10 finishes in five full seasons. Now, Dr. Mike Peck and son Todd Peck take the team to the Camping World Truck Series.

“This is a huge step for me, and as a family we’re proud to be back into the national series of NASCAR,” said driver Todd Peck. “We’ve worked hard to get back to this point, and we’re going about it methodically. We’ve got equipment from Kevin Harvick Inc. and we’re starting with a five-race schedule to build momentum to race a full schedule in 2012.”

Peck Motorsports will not only return to the track with top-rated equipment, but is currently working with national partners for future growth of the team. The team will be led on-track by current crew chief Keith Wolfe who has been with the team the past six seasons.

Todd Peck started his career driving go-karts. He worked his way up to the national level in karting before advancing to the Allison Legacy Series. Peck has more than 15 starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and currently competes in the Super Cup Stock Car Series.
