German Quiroga Bristol Motor Speedway Post Race Report

Germán Quiroga’s Rookie year involves a lot of learning and the driver of the NET10 Wireless Toyota Tundra continues to soak up knowledge like a sponge.

Quiroga made his debut at Bristol Motor Speedway and was fast from the start. The NET10 Wireless driver qualified fifth and stayed in the top-10 for the majority of the race. Quiroga battled loose conditions early on but was still a front running Tundra. Quiroga suffered a fuel issue that was  due to the high banking of the track causing the fuel to pool in the lower level of the tank during the slower speeds of a caution compared to the higher speeds’ centrifugal force that pushes the fuel to the pickup point on the opposite side of the tank. The NET10 Wireless team brought the driver to pit road for a splash of fuel. Quiroga crossed the finish line in the 21st position.

Germán Quiroga talks about his race at Bristol Motor Speedway:

“We were free when we started the race so it forced us back at the start. But, we came back and I am really proud of this NET10 Wireless Toyota Tundra team. Red Horse Racing builds awesome Tundras and we were really fast all day, during practice and qualifying. We were good. Something’s missing. I don’t know if its luck or something else. But we have to find out what it is. Our team deserves a win.”
