Jake Crum to Tackle Bristol with SS Green Light Racing

SS Green Light Racing is pleased to partner with Jake Crum and Bandit Chippers for one of the most exciting nights of racing in all of NASCAR; the UNOH 200 under the lights at the world famous Bristol Motor Speedway. The mid-week affair will kick-off one of the most popular weeks of the racing season as all three NASCAR divisions invade the worlds fastest half-mile track and Crum will celebrate Bandit Chippers 30th Anniversary.

This will be Jake’s third NCWTS start of 2013 and his fourth Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Over the last ten years Crum has amassed hundreds of victories in many forms of motorsports including: karts, Bandoleros, and late models. He won the prestigious Bailey’s 300 late model race at Martinsville Speedway in 2009.

“If I could pick just one race, Bristol is the one I would go to, “Crum said. “Thanks to Bandit for stepping up supporting me and helping me out so I can drive this truck, I can’t thank them enough.”

“I love Bristol because the intensity is so high, the closing rate is so fast,” he continued. “It’s everything about Bristol that makes it so special; the speed, the high banks, it’s the fastest half-mile. Everybody knows Bristol and everybody wants to be there, it just all adds up to one of the most exciting races of the year and I just can’t wait to be back at Bristol.”

“This is a special week for Bandit Industries and we are promoting the 30th Anniversary of their company on the No. 07 Toyota,” Crum concluded. “I’m glad that I can be part of celebrating Bandit’s 30 years.”

The UNOH 200 is the 305th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 13th career start for Crum in the Truck Series. He has a career best finish of 13th at Kentucky last year. Team owner Bobby Dotter will guide Crum from atop the SS Green Light Racing pit box.

“Over the last few years, Jake has shown me he can be very fast at Bristol,” said team owner and crew chief Bobby Dotter. “He’s had some bad luck and been caught up in a couple of deals that weren’t his doing so if we can have a clean race, I’m confident he can finish up front.”
