Starr Back Behind the Wheel of No. 81 at Bristol

After several weeks on the sidelines, David Starr returns to the SS Green Light Racing No. 81 Toyota for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 200 mid-week thriller under the lights at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

Wednesday evening’s battle at Bristol will also reunite Starr with long-time crew chief Jason Miller along with sponsors NCCER/Build Your Future Campaign (BYF) and Chasco Constructors who partnered with David at Daytona and Charlotte earlier this year.

“I can’t wait to get to Bristol, it will be a great race,” said Starr. “I’m excited and we are going to have a great race for our sponsors Build Your Future and Chasco Constructors who will be here for the race. Diane Greene from BYF is going to have some special guests at the track and I’m looking forward to that.”

“Glad to be back in the truck, it’s unfortunate that we don’t have funding to run the full season but we are very thankful to Bobby Dotter and honored to have the partners we do have,” David continued. “It’s not pleasant watching from the sidelines, but unfortunately that’s just the way things worked out. We have great partners and I’m looking forward to getting back into our No. 81 Toyota for them and I’m excited to have Jason Miller back as my crew chief again.”

“It feels great to get back to the racetrack, I can’t wait to get in the truck! I’ll be racing our BYF/Chasco Constructors Toyota hard on Wednesday night.”

Striping Technologies and Steely Lumber Company will provide associate sponsorship for Starr this week on the No. 81.

The UNOH 200 is the 305th consecutive NCWTS start for the SS Green Light Racing team and the 11th career start for Starr in a truck at Bristol. David has four top-tens and a best finish of fifth in 2009 on the high-banked half-mile.
