James Buescher NCWTS Preview: Bristol Motor Speedway

The Last Great Coliseum…James Buescher and the entire Rheem team will head into Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) looking to ride the wave of momentum after last week’s victory at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) and continue their climb up the series points standings in search of their second championship. Buescher has moved back into third in the points, just one point behind Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) teammate Jeb Burton for second place. In the last two races at BMS, Buescher has recorded two top-10s, finishing fourth and seventh, respectively.

Gotta Have a Rheem…After Buescher was able to give Rheem their first win of 2013 at MIS, he and the No. 31 TSM team aim to follow up that win with another at the UNOH 200 at BMS. Rheem Manufacturing Company (www.rheem.com) is privately held with headquarters in Atlanta. In its 87th year of operation, the company manufactures a full line of high-quality residential and commercial heating and cooling systems; tank, tankless, solar, and heat pump water heaters; swimming pool heaters and commercial boilers throughout North America and world markets. The company’s premium brands, including Raypak, Ruud and Rheem, have been recognized with countless industry and consumer awards for reliability, innovative design and high quality. Rheem, now in its seventh consecutive year as a NASCAR sponsor, is the official heating, cooling and water heating supplier to Turner Scott Motorsports and Richard Childress Racing. Rheem also sponsors RCR’s No. 29 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car driven by Kevin Harvick and the No. 33 NASCAR Nationwide Series car driven by Paul Menard.

Chassis Info…The Rheem team will bring chassis TSM-228 with them to Bristol. This particular chassis was last raced at Martinsville Speedway earlier this year where it spent much of the race inside the top five before ultimately finishing 14th.

Previous Race Recap…Buescher came into the Michigan National Guard 200 at MIS looking to put the previous outing behind him and his Rheem team. Coming off solid practice sessions and a stellar qualifying effort, Buescher started the 100-lap race in the third position. After dropping back in the field for the first half of the race, Buescher worked his way up to the top five with under 10 laps remaining. Coming to three laps to go, Buescher made a great move on the first and second-place trucks in Turn 3 and vaulted himself to first. Buescher grabbed the lead and never looked back, earning his first victory of 2013.

Watch and Listen…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns for another mid-week race with the UNOH 200 at BMS. The race can be seen live on Wednesday, August 21 on FOX Sports 1. Race coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m. EDT. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

James Buescher on Winning at Michigan International Speedway

“The win at Michigan was a huge momentum boost for my entire Rheem team. We hadn’t been having the season we were hoping for, but I think this win will get us pointed in the right direction to go fight for that championship.”

James Buescher on Returning to Bristol Motor Speedway

“Bristol is one of the most challenging tracks on the circuit; you just never know what is going to happen there. We have a great truck prepared to take with us, and I think we have a great shot of giving Rheem and everyone at Turner Scott Motorsports back-to-back wins.”
