Ryan Blaney Eldora Preview

Ryan Blaney (@RyanBlaney22), driver of the No. 29 Cooper Standard Ford F-150, will make his inaugural start at Eldora Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ (NCWTS) dirt track debut during Wednesday night’s CarCash Mudsummer Classic Presented by CNBC’s Prime’s the Profit.

Blaney and BKR have tested on dirt a few different times leading up to Wednesday night’s shootout, but this will be his first ever competition race on dirt.

Cooper Standard is proud to serve as primary sponsor for the No. 29 BKR Ford F-150 entry during this groundbreaking race.

Wednesday night will mark the third time Ryan has raced his father Dave on a dirt track, the first time in a NASCAR national series event.

Crew chief, Doug Randolph, will call the shots for Blaney.

The No. 29 BKR team currently sits sixth in the NCWTS driver points standings, 67 points back from first and 29 points back from second.

“It’s hard to say we weren’t looking forward to this one. The date has been the “wildcard” all season long for our Cooper Standard team, knowing it’s going to be a wild one out there on the track. There will be a lot of point shuffling after Wednesday night’s race; it’s just a matter of bringing the right package and executing it properly. Our team has been working on our dirt package all season, through testing and other variables, so I’m extremely confident in my Ford F-150 going into the race.”   – Ryan Blaney
