Made in USA Brand Hits the Track with Max Gresham Again this Thursday

A bright red, white and blue paint scheme will make Max Gresham’s No. 8 Made in USA Brand (MIUSA) Chevrolet Silverado the easiest truck to find during Thursday night’s UNOH 225 at the Kentucky Speedway.

Gresham, the Made in USA Brand and Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) will use the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race to pay tribute and to say “thank you” to honor members of the military. The No. 8 will feature a patriotic paint scheme as part of the “NASCAR: An American Salute” program, an industry-wide effort to celebrate the service of the United States’ current Armed Forces members, veterans and their families.

The team will keep their original Made in USA Brand colors, and are opting to add red stars and stripes accents on the splitter, rear spoiler and side skirts. This Thursday evening is a premium opportunity for drivers and teams to show their support for America and those who have served; it is the closest scheduled NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race to Independence Day on the fourth of July.

“As we approach Independence Day, everyone at Eddie Sharp Racing could not think of a better way to highlight the deep American roots that you find within NASCAR,” team owner Eddie Sharp Jr. said. “Along with Made in USA Brand, we were able to do it.”

The team also aims to maintain focus on track by running up front.

“We certainly have one of the best-looking trucks out there, but it’s our intention to be remembered most by the way we run,” Gresham said. “The strength of our program this year has been on the mile-a-half tracks like Kentucky. It’s fast and it puts a premium on your exit speeds.”

The Milner, Georgia, native Gresham has two career starts at Kentucky Speedway. A year ago he set a career-best NASCAR Camping World Truck series speedway qualifying effort by qualifying ninth.

In both starts in the “Bluegrass State,” the Made in USA Brand has dominated his Chevrolet with primary sponsorship. The Made in USA logo is the only registered certification mark for identifying Made in USA made and grown products and goods.

“NASCAR is as American as it gets, and nothing is more American than pickup trucks and racing,” the 20-year old Gresham said. “This history of the sport is riddled with patriotism. We’re proud to support the “NASCAR: An American Salute” initiative.”

The race also may be an opportunity for Gresham to see his sister, Haley Gresham. She is a student at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

One thing’s for sure: She won’t have any problem finding him. All she has to do is look for the red, white and blue No. 8 Made in USA Brand Chevrolet.

Tune into the SPEED Channel at 8 PM EDT on SPEED to watch Gresham compete at Kentucky Speedway for the eighth race of the season.
