German Quiroga Red Horse Racing Texas Motor Speedway Team Advance

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT: Texas Motor Speedway isn’t a new track for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rookie of the Year contender and Red Horse Racing driver German Quiroga. The three-time Mexico Series champion is eager to get to the 1.5-quad oval and compete under the Red Horse Racing banner. After spending two days at the ‘Wild Asphalt Circus’ in April, Quiroga is anxious to get on track and see just how well his No. 77 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra will adapt to the night racing conditions.

NET10 WIRELESS®: This weekend the Truck Series returns to action at Texas Motor Speedway and so does NET10 Wireless as primary sponsor on German Quiroga’s No. 77 Toyota Tundra. The no contract cell phone leader will continue to its support as primary or associate sponsor for the remainder of the season. For more information on NET10 Wireless, visit www.NET10Wireless.com.

CHASSIS HISTORY: German Quiroga will be behind the wheel of Chassis No. 008 this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. The No. 77 NET10 Wireless Toyota Tundra most recently raced at Kansas Speedway where Quiroga earned an 11th-place finish. Chassis No. 008 had one race in the notebook during the 2012 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. There, the chassis earned Red Horse Racing’s 10th pole position and took home a seventh-place finish.

MEET & GREET: Quiroga, along with teammates John Wes Townley and Timothy Peters will join the other Truck Series drivers for an autograph session at Texas Motor Speedway outside of Turn 1 next to the Hospitality Village from 4:30-5:30pm on Friday, June 7th.

REARVIEW MIRROR – DOVER: Germán Quiroga qualified his NET10 Wireless Toyota Tundra in the eighth position last Friday at Dover International Speedway. Quiroga ran a steady race maintaining his top-10 position while showing patience and restraint in his Tundra. Though his Toyota fought loose conditions throughout the 200 lap event, Quiroga battled fiercely with the competition to sustain his track position and bring home a 13th place finish.

Germán Quiroga on Texas Motor Speedway:

Talk about what you learned as a driver during the test at Texas Motor Speedway?

“Testing at Texas was a great experience. Dan (Stillman, crew chief) made a lot of changes and was sure to explain each one to me so I can better understand our Toyota Tundras should we need adjustments during a race – we know what works better for us. Also, I felt more relaxed driving and with more confident. I’m very happy to have this opportunity and to see how Red Horse Racing is working hard on improvement and having success in the future.

How has the adjustment been for you this year at Red Horse Racing?

“That’s what’s funny – there is no adjustment. This is a family. My journey to get to this opportunity in NASCAR and with an organization like Red Horse Racing has not been easy. We are still looking for support to finish out the 2013 season and will continue to work to make that a reality. I want to continue to fight for Rookie of the Year honors and make my dream of becoming the first Mexican driver to win in a division of NASCAR a reality. There is no better place than Red Horse Racing for me to fulfill that dream.”
