Brennan Newberry looking for fast trucks at Kansas Speedway

As the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) makes its’ first stop at the newly paved Kansas Speedway, NTS Motorsports Rookie, Brennan Newberry makes his second trip to the mile and a half tri-oval in the truck series. Newberry will bring with him a little experience, from his past truck and ARCA races, as well as a dedicated team and a new sponsor as he hits the track for the SFP 250 at Kansas Speedway on Saturday, April 20, 2013.

Sponsor Spotlight: Newberry has something about him that just draws sponsors to him. This week Hy-Vee jumped on board as primary sponsor for the No. 14 Chevy Silverado. They recently became the Official Grocer and Tailgate Pit Stop of Kansas Speedway and will be an associate sponsor for select races on the No. 14 truck. Hy-Vee operates 235 full-service supermarkets in eight Midwestern states, which makes them among the top 20 supermarket chains in the United States.

Shiny Silverado: With the new pavement and a new sponsor, why not have a new truck? The No. 14 Hy-Vee crew built a brand new Chevrolet Silverado (Chassis No. 006) for Newberry to race at Kansas Speedway this weekend.

Newberry’s Kansas:

“Kansas is going to be really fast and after the repave possibly a whole new race. I ran the ARCA race there last year after the repave so maybe that gives us a little edge over the competition. We’ve got great momentum going by finishing every race better than the last. I’m looking forward to a lot of fast racing and drafting with this NTS Motorsports team.”

Eddie’s Expectations:

“Every week we go in with the same attitude to run every lap and finish the race. This race will be no different. The only difference is we now have three weeks of running together under our belt so the team chemistry and communication is getting better. It’s going to be a great race.”
