A pair of six-figure World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series events will highlight the four-day BillionAuto.com Huset's High Bank Nationals, which runs June 19-22, 2024.

In addition, the Outlaws will return to Huset's Speedway Labor Day Weekend for a new two-day Huset's Shootout with the finale paying $40,000 to win, marking six races for the World of Outlaws this year at the high-banked dirt oval.

The marquee event in June kicks off with the inaugural two-day, $100,000-to-win Huset's High Bank Hustle (June 19-20). That's followed by the even bigger two-day $250,000-to-win, $5,000-to-start BillionAuto.com Huset's High Bank Nationals (June 21-22), which equals the largest payout in World of Outlaws history - established last season with this event. Each of the opening night races (June 19 and June 21) will pay $20,000 to the winner.

A complete format for each event during the BillionAuto.com Huset's High Bank Nationals week will be released closer to the crown jewel event.

The new two-day Huset's Shootout on Labor Day Weekend will run Saturday, Aug. 31, and Sunday, Sept. 1, with the winner of the event finale receiving $40,000.

The event is part of a tripleheader with action beginning on Friday, Aug. 30, when the Cressman Sanitation 410 Outlaw Sprint Cars kicks off the weekend with the Bull Haulers Brawl Season Championship presented by Folkens Bros. Trucking.

Dominic Scelzi wrapped up the NARC 410 Sprint Car Series season with a top-five run last Saturday during the 40 ^th annual Tribute to Gary Patterson.

The performance at the Stockton Dirt Track secured a third-place finish in the championship standings, giving Scelzi a podium in the final standings for the fourth time in the last five years.

"It's a good season whenever you can be in contention for a championship," he said. "While we didn't win our third straight championship, we were in the top three all season. It was frustrating in the sense we were better than third and for whatever reason whenever we had something go wrong it only happened at NARC events. From running out of fuel, being taken out by lappers, you name it and we had it happen. You can't be a champion with five DNFs. I was thrilled with the speed and maneuverability with our car all season, but sometimes you have those years when things don't go your way."

Scelzi kicked off the event last Saturday by qualifying fourth quickest. He then placed second in a heat race to narrowly miss making the dash, starting Scelzi seventh in the feature.

"We were really good, but when you have a one-lane track it's impossible to compete," he said. "In the heat race it had grease on the bottom for five feet, grip for five feet and then grease above that. It gave an advantage to the cars on the outside. We spun the tires on the start and ran second. In the main event it was rough. We rode around and got what we could whenever someone in front of us would hit a hole or get tight."

Scelzi gained a trio of positions, which was tied for the third most.

Next up is a trip to Central Arizona Raceway in Casa Grande, Ariz., this Friday and Saturday for an ASCS Southwest Region doubleheader.

"We ran there earlier in the year and both races got cut short," he said. "We went fourth to second and were right there for the win during the opener. The next night we started 10 ^th and we ran up to second. We really enjoyed the track. It was an awesome surface. Both nights raced really, really good so we're looking forward to returning this weekend."

When Brody Roa arrives at Perris Auto Speedway with his Inland Rigging #17R sprint car this Saturday night, it will be the third time he has been there as a USAC champion.  However, it will be the first time he gets to Southern California’s premiere racetrack as the USAC/CRA champ.  The Garden Grove, California racer sewed up the title in last week’s Western World Championship at the Cocopah Speedway.

Roa has had a dominating season in the West Coast series.  He won the first two races at Cocopah in January and has led the championship point standings the entire season.  Along the way, he won eight of the first 16 series races.  The USAC/CRA season culminates at Perris on Saturday.  It will be the 17^th race on the 2023 schedule and Roa is seeking another victory to send his batting average above .500 in the series.

“We ran good all year long,” the 2024 USAC/CRA Series champion said.  “In all honesty, I felt at the last few races we were not on the same level.  Especially at Cocopah.  We kind of did what we needed to do to keep the championship from coming down to Perris.  We did not want to get to the last race worrying about points and worrying about what we had to do.”

“We are going to try to end the year the way we started it.   We are going to show up like we did all year, with the best car we can, prep it as best we can, and make the best decisions we can.  Now that we have the war won, we want to end up on top at the last race.”

Things had been going smoothly all season for Roa in the USAC/CRA Series.  In addition to his eight wins (he scored a ninth win at an open comp race at Imperial Valley three weeks ago), he had three second-place finishes and a fifth in the first 14 races of the year.  He only placed out of the top five twice.  One of those was a sixth at Mohave Valley four weeks ago.  The only USAC/CRA race he did not finish on the lead lap this year came at the Salute to Indy at Perris in May when he got clobbered by a lapped car late in the race while he leading.

Things looked good for Roa heading into the two nights of action last week at Cocopah.  After all, he posted a pair of wins there to kick off the year in January.  However, things just did not go as well as planned.  The weekend started good when he recorded the third fastest qualifying time and then placed third in his heat on Friday.  It was going well in the main before disaster struck when his right rear tire went down eight laps from the finish.

“We were up to fifth and I was still driving extremely conservative,” the wily veteran said.  “I was ticked off when I popped that tire.  I knew from the drop of the green that I had to save that thing (right rear tire) to the end.  I got to fifth, and it popped with eight to go.  I was a little upset.  I was wondering how the other drivers are saving tires.  I am driving it in as straight as possible with no wheel spin and just trying to get around the track.”

“The tire actually delaminated.  It actually started shaking eight or 10 laps before it blew.  I just thought it was the rubber chattering the tire like it does.  But when we got back into the pits and looked at it, there were three blocks on the inside and three blocks on the outside.  The center was just torn off.  That was a bummer because we were having kind of a decent run on a not-so-great track.”

Twenty-four hours later the team was hoping for better results but it was just one of those weekends.

“Second night was a little challenging,” Roa lamented.  “We pulled a really late pill and did not qualify that good.  I guess I was a little too aggressive with the line I was trying to qualify on.  That kind of set us back and we started really deep.  I picked off six cars right off the bat and got to 12^th but by the time I got there, I could not even see the next car.”

“It was pretty treacherous on the top where I was running.  I think about half the cars were on the top and half were on the bottom.  I like running on the top rather than putting around on the bottom.  With the big curb and as close to the wall as it was, I probably babied it around the cushion more than I should have.”

Roa’s first two USAC sprint car championships came in 2016 and 2019.  In 2016 he won the USAC West Coast Sprint Car title.   Three years later in 2019, he earned the crown in the now-defunct USAC Southwest Series.  This year’s CRA title exceeds both of those in his eyes.

“I think obviously at the top,” Roa confirmed when asked if this year was the biggest of the three championships.  “We have tried for this one for a long time and it is cool to finely get it done.  I do not think it has set in yet.  It is definitely cool and exciting to get it after trying for so long.”

Roa was to be joined at Cocopah by his teammate and car owner Tommy Dunkel who was going to wheel his #17A sprint car in the ASCS 360 portion of the show.  However, an axle problem on his trailer forced Dunkel to abort his trip to the Southwestern Arizona track.  This Saturday, Dunkel will be racing with Roa in the USAC/CRA show at Perris.  It will be his first time racing a powerful 410 sprint car.

“I am stoked for Tommy to make his 410 debut,” Roa affirmed.  “He gave us so much to get this championship this year.  I am glad we could get it done a race early so we can get him in the second car on Saturday.  It is super cool for him to give a 410 a shot.  I think he is in for quite a surprise.  They are totally different animals.  He will be good and hopefully have a good time doing it.” 

After Saturday’s race, the Inland Rigging drivers will be off before participating in the 82^nd Annual Turkey Night Grand Prix at the Ventura Raceway on Thanksgiving weekend.

All active military members with proper ID will get into Saturday night’s race at Perris for just $5.00.  In addition, they will receive one free pass for an accompanying guest.

Adult tickets for Saturday’s race are $30.00.  Seniors 65 and over get in for $25.00.  For kids 6-12 it is only $5.00 and children 5 and under are free.  The fairgrounds charge $10.00 for parking.

All roads lead to California’s Bakersfield Speedway!

For one, it’s the start of the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship’s annual voyage to the west coast on Tuesday night, November 14, the first of six races in a 12-day span in the Golden State to close out the 2023 season.

Secondly, the November Classic presents a myriad of new beginnings and challenges ahead with the likes of Thomas Meseraull’s debut with a new team looming as well as RMS Racing’s three-race winning streak being put to the test, Buddy Kofoid’s pursuit of a historic third Bako win and Logan Seavey’s championship quest, just to mention a few.

Here’s a look at six of the storylines we’re watching on Tuesday at Bakersfield!

NEW DIGS FOR MESERAULL

The November swing discussion starts with a new beginning for defending Bakersfield winner Thomas Meseraull.

After the recent parting of ways between Meseraull and the RMS Racing team, Meseraull and his Engler-powered EA Stealth engine will make its debut with a former Spike Chassis out of the RMS stable which will retain the same familiar number of 7x.

It’s quite the change of scenery for Meseraull who has scored all 10 of his USAC National Midget career victories for RMS and has competed full-time with the team since their formation in 2018. Meseraull took the team’s ride to a 30-lap wire-to-wire victory at Bakersfield in 2022.

Bakersfield success has been part of the equation for Meseraull since the earliest days of his racing career and continues to the current day. In fact, his very first USAC-sanctioned feature win came at Bakersfield with the Western States Midget division all the way back in the year 2000.

RMS LOOKING “FOUR” MORE

Speaking of which, after a daunting and frustrating season, the RMS Racing team has recently broken through to hit their stride on the USAC National Midget trail.

After going winless throughout the first 18 events of the year, the team has now won three-straight, including two by Justin Grant while Meseraull added one to the win column as well.

Now sporting a one-car effort for the upcoming California swing solely for Grant, the RMS outfit is riding a streak which equals the team’s longest string of victories set during the first three rounds of the 2022 season.

Now the pursuit for team principal Dave Estep and crew is to become the first team not named Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports to win four-straight USAC National Midget features since Tucker-Boat Motorsports took five consecutive triumphs in 2020.

Furthermore, RMS enters the upcoming trip as the most recent winner in the state of California with Grant reigning victorious during the season-ending Turkey Night Grand Prix at Ventura Raceway in 2022.

BUDDY’S BACK AT BAKO

Buddy Kofoid’s midget starts have been fewer and further between this year in comparison to recent seasons. But the 2021-22 USAC National Midget champion has been a force every time he’s hit the track this season to no one’s surprise.

In just five USAC National Midget starts during the 2023 campaign, the Penngrove, Calif. driver has finished inside the top-five in all five, including a pair of feature victories.

Furthermore, in his past three Bakersfield appearances, he’s finished on the podium each time and won twice in back-to-back fashion in 2020-21. With one more victory on Tuesday, he’d equal current Keith Kunz Motorsports C.E.E.O. (Chief Everything Else Officer) Jay Drake and Billy Vukovich as the winningest USAC Midget drivers at Bakersfield.

Kofoid is committed to competing on the full six-race slate with the USAC Midgets in November in the seat of the KKM/Curb-Agajanian No. 67K, one of seven entries from the team’s stable that’ll be on hand at Bakersfield.

SEAVEY WITH A CHAMPIONSHIP CLOSEOUT ON HIS MIND

Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) is one of three past November Classic winners slated to compete in Tuesday’s event at Bakersfield along with Buddy Kofoid and Thomas Meseraull.

Seavey captured the 2018 Bakersfield round in grand style by utilizing the high line to pass for the victory coming out of the fourth turn on the 30th and final lap, which also locked up the series title for him in one fell swoop.

It was during the California rounds a year ago in which Seavey made his debut with Abacus Racing. Now, a year later, the pair stands head and shoulders above the field on the brink of a championship, up 225 points in the series standings with just six races remaining.

Coming off a fifth-place finish at Bakersfield in 2022, Seavey and Abacus would like to further cement their title wishes with another “one fell swoop” performance on Tuesday.

DOUBLE-O ANDREOTTI

Jake Andreotti has competed the entirety of the USAC National Midget season in a car owned by Tom Malloy. However, for the remainder of the season, he’ll find himself back in a former, but familiar, ride.

The Castro Valley, Calif. native has re-teamed up with car owner Pete Davis and his No. 00 for the six-race schedule in their California homeland, the same team with which he accrued several impressive runs this time a year ago, punctuated by a fourth-place result in the 2022 season finale at Ventura.

This year alone, in limited starts on off-weekends from the national trail, Andreotti ventured back home to California and has been stellar in Davis’ No. 00 with the USAC Western States Midgets. In just three starts, Andreotti and Davis won twice and finished as the runner-up in the other.

Even better, Andreotti is undefeated in a midget on Bakersfield soil this year. However, both of those victories came at the neighboring The Dirt Track at Kern County Raceway Park. Nonetheless, the team is confident that they can have another breakthrough moment this time around just down the road in Bako.

AUSTRALIA TEAMS WITH AMERICA

Just like clockwork, the distinctive machinery of Australia’s Dyson Motorsport and American drivers Carson Macedo and Spencer Bayston return to the field for a full two weeks of midget racing on the west coast of the U.S. in the Fall.

Macedo (Lemoore, Calif.) and Bayston (Lebanon, Ind.) are coming off a year in which they both finished inside the top-eight of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink point standings for 2023.

Both drivers have established themselves in midgets along the way as well with Macedo earning a USAC Indiana Regional Midget series title and National Rookie of the Year honors in 2016. Last year at Merced, Macedo was able to notch his first career USAC National Midget victory.

Bayston, meanwhile, was a mainstay at the top of USAC National Midget racing throughout the mid to late 2010s, establishing himself as both a National Midget champion in 2017 and an Indiana Midget Week titlist in 2018.

The Tuesday, November 14 running of the November Classic at California’s Bakersfield Speedway features the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship, California Lightning Sprints and American Stocks.

Pits open at Noon Pacific with the gates opening at 4pm, the drivers meeting at 4:30pm and cars on track at 5pm.

Adult general admission tickets are $20. Kids 6-12 general admission tickets are $10. Kids 5 and under general admission tickets are free. Ages 65+ and military (ID required) general admission tickets are $18.

USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets and California’s Bakersfield Speedway have a history that dates back six decades. Davey Moses won the first trip by the USAC National Midgets in the summer of 1959. Over that period, 24 series races have been held at the lightning-quick 1/3-mile that has been both paved and dirt throughout its history.

ASA STARS National Tour management hosted an informational meeting with the teams on Friday evening, November 3 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway.

Track Enterprises President and ASA STARS National Tour Founder Bob Sargent made several newsworthy announcements at the meeting, which included the following.

• 2023 ASA STARS Champions Press Conference: Track Enterprises will host a press event to formally honor the 2023 ASA STARS National Tour championship car owner and driver at the Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in Indianapolis. Additional drivers and car owners who finished in the top ten in the final point standings will also be recognized during what is being planned as a luncheon event at the PRI trade show. Date, time and location is to be announced.
• 2024 Championship Point Fund Announced: Sargent re-affirmed his commitment to the ASA STARS National Tour, announcing that the championship car owner point fund for 2024 would once again be no less than $100,000, paying a minimum of $25,000 to the champion owner.
• Initial 2024 Winners Circle Program Details Revealed: Upon the conclusion of the 2023 ASA STARS National Tour at the All American 400, the final car owner point standings locked in the provisional Winners Circle program participants for the first three races of 2024. Eight car owners who participated in 90% of the race events and finished in the top ten in the final point standings will be eligible for the plan, beginning with the season-opening race of 2024.

Team Construction sponsored the Winners Circle program in 2023, providing guaranteed bonus money on a per event basis to those teams that supported the series regularly. The top teams in owner points were provided a $700 per event bonus in 2023, and Sargent committed to the teams that the 2024 program would be no less than that amount.

The Winners Circle program is designed to provide appearance bonus money to up to 20 teams - ten on the “A” program and another ten on the “B” program.

• Owner/Driver Committee Announced: Acknowledging that the inaugural ASA STARS National Tour season was a steep learning curve, series officials announced the formation of an owner/driver committee. The owner/driver committee will be comprised of one representative from each of the top six car owners in the 2023 final point standings, plus one representative from a car owner vote. The owner/driver committee will be charged with providing observation and recommendation to the series regarding rules and procedures, as well as assisting with penalties and rules infractions.
• 2024 ASA STARS Rookie of the Year Program Announced: With 2023 being the inaugural season for the ASA STARS National Tour, the series did not offer or promote a Rookie of the Year program. The series is actively seeking sponsorship, as was announced at the Friday team meeting. Eligibility requirements and bonus awards for the Rookie of the Year program will be forthcoming.

In addition to the series announcements made by Sargent and his staff, Hoosier Racing Tire provided a sneak preview of the new tires being developed for Super Late Model racing for 2024. A formal announcement about the new tires is expected to made at the Snowball Derby the weekend of November 30-December 3 at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL.

All roads lead to California’s Bakersfield Speedway!

For one, it’s the start of the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship’s annual voyage to the west coast on Tuesday night, November 14, the first of six races in a 12-day span in the Golden State to close out the 2023 season.

Secondly, the November Classic presents a myriad of new beginnings and challenges ahead with the likes of Thomas Meseraull’s debut with a new team looming as well as RMS Racing’s three-race winning streak being put to the test, Buddy Kofoid’s pursuit of a historic third Bako win and Logan Seavey’s championship quest, just to mention a few.

Here’s a look at six of the storylines we’re watching on Tuesday at Bakersfield!

NEW DIGS FOR MESERAULL

The November swing discussion starts with a new beginning for defending Bakersfield winner Thomas Meseraull.

After the recent parting of ways between Meseraull and the RMS Racing team, Meseraull and his Engler-powered EA Stealth engine will make its debut with a former Spike Chassis out of the RMS stable which will retain the same familiar number of 7x.

It’s quite the change of scenery for Meseraull who has scored all 10 of his USAC National Midget career victories for RMS and has competed full-time with the team since their formation in 2018. Meseraull took the team’s ride to a 30-lap wire-to-wire victory at Bakersfield in 2022.

Bakersfield success has been part of the equation for Meseraull since the earliest days of his racing career and continues to the current day. In fact, his very first USAC-sanctioned feature win came at Bakersfield with the Western States Midget division all the way back in the year 2000.

RMS LOOKING “FOUR” MORE

Speaking of which, after a daunting and frustrating season, the RMS Racing team has recently broken through to hit their stride on the USAC National Midget trail.

After going winless throughout the first 18 events of the year, the team has now won three-straight, including two by Justin Grant while Meseraull added one to the win column as well.

Now sporting a one-car effort for the upcoming California swing solely for Grant, the RMS outfit is riding a streak which equals the team’s longest string of victories set during the first three rounds of the 2022 season.

Now the pursuit for team principal Dave Estep and crew is to become the first team not named Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports to win four-straight USAC National Midget features since Tucker-Boat Motorsports took five consecutive triumphs in 2020.

Furthermore, RMS enters the upcoming trip as the most recent winner in the state of California with Grant reigning victorious during the season-ending Turkey Night Grand Prix at Ventura Raceway in 2022.

BUDDY’S BACK AT BAKO

Buddy Kofoid’s midget starts have been fewer and further between this year in comparison to recent seasons. But the 2021-22 USAC National Midget champion has been a force every time he’s hit the track this season to no one’s surprise.

In just five USAC National Midget starts during the 2023 campaign, the Penngrove, Calif. driver has finished inside the top-five in all five, including a pair of feature victories.

Furthermore, in his past three Bakersfield appearances, he’s finished on the podium each time and won twice in back-to-back fashion in 2020-21. With one more victory on Tuesday, he’d equal current Keith Kunz Motorsports C.E.E.O. (Chief Everything Else Officer) Jay Drake and Billy Vukovich as the winningest USAC Midget drivers at Bakersfield.

Kofoid is committed to competing on the full six-race slate with the USAC Midgets in November in the seat of the KKM/Curb-Agajanian No. 67K, one of seven entries from the team’s stable that’ll be on hand at Bakersfield.

SEAVEY WITH A CHAMPIONSHIP CLOSEOUT ON HIS MIND

Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) is one of three past November Classic winners slated to compete in Tuesday’s event at Bakersfield along with Buddy Kofoid and Thomas Meseraull.

Seavey captured the 2018 Bakersfield round in grand style by utilizing the high line to pass for the victory coming out of the fourth turn on the 30th and final lap, which also locked up the series title for him in one fell swoop.

It was during the California rounds a year ago in which Seavey made his debut with Abacus Racing. Now, a year later, the pair stands head and shoulders above the field on the brink of a championship, up 225 points in the series standings with just six races remaining.

Coming off a fifth-place finish at Bakersfield in 2022, Seavey and Abacus would like to further cement their title wishes with another “one fell swoop” performance on Tuesday.

DOUBLE-O ANDREOTTI

Jake Andreotti has competed the entirety of the USAC National Midget season in a car owned by Tom Malloy. However, for the remainder of the season, he’ll find himself back in a former, but familiar, ride.

The Castro Valley, Calif. native has re-teamed up with car owner Pete Davis and his No. 00 for the six-race schedule in their California homeland, the same team with which he accrued several impressive runs this time a year ago, punctuated by a fourth-place result in the 2022 season finale at Ventura.

This year alone, in limited starts on off-weekends from the national trail, Andreotti ventured back home to California and has been stellar in Davis’ No. 00 with the USAC Western States Midgets. In just three starts, Andreotti and Davis won twice and finished as the runner-up in the other.

Even better, Andreotti is undefeated in a midget on Bakersfield soil this year. However, both of those victories came at the neighboring The Dirt Track at Kern County Raceway Park. Nonetheless, the team is confident that they can have another breakthrough moment this time around just down the road in Bako.

AUSTRALIA TEAMS WITH AMERICA

Just like clockwork, the distinctive machinery of Australia’s Dyson Motorsport and American drivers Carson Macedo and Spencer Bayston return to the field for a full two weeks of midget racing on the west coast of the U.S. in the Fall.

Macedo (Lemoore, Calif.) and Bayston (Lebanon, Ind.) are coming off a year in which they both finished inside the top-eight of the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink point standings for 2023.

Both drivers have established themselves in midgets along the way as well with Macedo earning a USAC Indiana Regional Midget series title and National Rookie of the Year honors in 2016. Last year at Merced, Macedo was able to notch his first career USAC National Midget victory.

Bayston, meanwhile, was a mainstay at the top of USAC National Midget racing throughout the mid to late 2010s, establishing himself as both a National Midget champion in 2017 and an Indiana Midget Week titlist in 2018.

THE DETAILS

The Tuesday, November 14 running of the November Classic at California’s Bakersfield Speedway features the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship, California Lightning Sprints and American Stocks.

Pits open at Noon Pacific with the gates opening at 4pm, the drivers meeting at 4:30pm and cars on track at 5pm.

Adult general admission tickets are $20. Kids 6-12 general admission tickets are $10. Kids 5 and under general admission tickets are free. Ages 65+ and military (ID required) general admission tickets are $18.

USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets and California’s Bakersfield Speedway have a history that dates back six decades. Davey Moses won the first trip by the USAC National Midgets in the summer of 1959. Over that period, 24 series races have been held at the lightning-quick 1/3-mile that has been both paved and dirt throughout its history.

NBC Sports’ coverage of the second half of the 2023 NASCAR season delivered viewership gains across the Cup and Xfinity Series, highlighted by the inaugural Cup Series race on the Streets of Chicago and coverage on the NBC broadcast network.

The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series on NBC, USA Network, Peacock and NBC Sports Digital delivered a Total Audience Delivery of 2.47 million viewers across 20 races, up vs. comparable coverage in 2022 (2.45 million viewers), according to data provided by the Nielsen Company and Adobe Analytics.

Viewership gains were driven by NBC Sports’ coverage of the inaugural Cup Series race on the Streets of Chicago on NBC and Peacock, which delivered a TAD of 4.79 million viewers to rank as NBC Sports’ most-watched NASCAR race in six years and the second-most watched race of the season behind the Daytona 500 on Fox.

Overall, NASCAR Cup Series viewership on the NBC broadcast network was up 3% vs. 2022, including last Sunday’s championship race won by Ryan Blaney, which averaged a TAD of 3.03 million viewers.

Additional Cup Series viewership highlights:

• 16 of 20 Cup Series races averaged a TAD of at least two million viewers, up from 15 of 20 races in 2022;

• Three of USA Network’s Cup Series races (Atlanta, New Hampshire and Richmond) ranked as the most-watched sports programs on television on their respective days, and an additional three USA Network Cup Series races (Pocono, Watkins Glen and Darlington) ranked as the most-watched cable sports programs on their respective days;

• The July 23 race at Pocono averaged a TAD of 2.83 million viewers, making it the most-watched Cup Series race on cable in 2023 and the most-watched Cup Series race on any cable network since 2021.

NBC Sports’ coverage of the second half of the 2023 Xfinity Series delivered a Total Audience Delivery of 1.04 million viewers, up 9% vs. 2022 to make it NBC Sports’ most-watched Xfinity Series season since 2017.

Charlotte Motor Speedway is rolling out the magical red-and-green carpet for a whimsical festive holiday season as Speedway Christmas presented by Atrium Health opens next weekend. The curtain goes up on the Southeast’s largest drive-thru holiday light show on Friday, Nov. 17 and remains open nightly through Jan. 7, 2024.

Picture a dazzling four-mile drive-thru course, enhanced with nearly 5 million twinkling lights and a whole winter wonderland for fans to enjoy. The Christmas village comes to life every Thursday through Sunday, with Santa on hand for heartwarming photos, fire pits crackling to life with the scent of marshmallows being roasted, and an all-new walking trail designed to delight the young and young-at-heart.

Additionally, each night the village is open, Queen City News will present a bevy of classic Christmas movies on the 16,000-square-foot SpeedwayTV, allowing fans to snuggle into their cars and tune into a dedicated radio station for that movie holiday magic.

The schedule for the upcoming Queen City News Movie Nights at Speedway Christmas follows:

Movies are scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. each night, with an encore beginning immediately following the first showing.

Speedway Christmas presented by Atrium Health is open nightly from Nov. 17 to Jan. 7 (closed Christmas Eve), with tickets per vehicle starting at $35 Monday-Wednesday, when the Christmas Village is close, and $45 Thursday-Sunday, when the Christmas Village is open. Guests can skip the lines and beat traffic with the Fast Pass Lane, accessible off of Morehead Road at entrance P. The Fast Pass Lane ensures a smooth ride at $75 per vehicle on Thursday-Sunday.

The ARCA Menards Series schedule is comprised of 20 races at 19 different tracks in 2024, with the season opener at Daytona International Speedway and, for the third consecutive year, the season finale at the series’ home track Toledo Speedway.  

Eighteen racetracks from 2023 return to the schedule, with the addition of an event at Dover Motor Speedway in April as the only new venue on the calendar.  

The highlights: 

• The series will race at Daytona for the 61st consecutive year dating to 1964; the race will be a same-day doubleheader with the NASCAR Xfinity Series the day before the Daytona 500. 
• Kansas Speedway is the only track on the schedule twice, with races scheduled in May and September. 
• Conjunction races with the NASCAR Cup Series will also take place at Phoenix Raceway in March, Talladega Superspeedway and Dover Motor Speedway in April, Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, Iowa Speedway in June, Michigan International Speedway in August, and Watkins Glen and Bristol Motor Speedway both in September. 
• Same-day doubleheaders with the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in July and The Milwaukee Mile in August both return. 
• The busy summer starts with the popular road course stop at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on June 21 followed by short track clashes at Berlin Raceway, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park and a new summer date at Salem Speedway, while the race at Elko Speedway moves to Saturday, August 3. 
• The Illinois State Fairgrounds returns on its traditional August date alongside the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds on Labor Day weekend as dirt races continue on the series schedule. 

The race at Phoenix Raceway in March will be a combination race with the ARCA Menards Series West, while races at Dover Motor Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, The Milwaukee Mile, and Bristol Motor Speedway will be combination races with the ARCA Menards Series East.
