Eggleston, LeMastus Set to Race Under the Lights at Charlotte Motor Speedway

DGR-Crosley will have two entries in this weekend’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Charlotte Motor Speedway (N.C.) as the team welcomes Chris Eggleston to their driver stable. Eggleston will pilot the No. 54 Globe Sprinkler / H2O Fire Protection Toyota Tundra in what will be his seventh career NCWTS start. The Erie, Colo., native has one previous start at the one-and-a-half-mile track in Charlotte, which occurred in 2010.

 

Eggleston has spent extensive time in the NASCAR K&N Pros Series West (NKNPSW) where he secured Championship honors in 2015 and a runner-up finish in Championship Points standings in 2017. The 29-year-old driver has nine NKNPSW wins under his belt and has earned top-five finishes in 30 of his 45 career starts.

 

“I have been waiting to get back in a truck for almost 8 years,” said Eggleston. “Now that it is race weekend, I am beyond excited to get behind the wheel. Having the opportunity to work with all the guys at DGR-Crosley and with Chris Lawson and Bono [Kevin Manion, Crew Chief], makes me feel that much more comfortable going into this opportunity. A lot of these truck drivers obviously have a lot of seat time, but I have high hopes to pick it up and gain comfort on the mile and a half quickly…which may come into play with the high chance of rain. Never the less, I feel prepared and ready and hope to deliver DGR-Crosley a good finish!”

 

DGR-Crosley regular Bo LeMastus will be behind the wheel of the No. 17 Crosley Brands Toyota Tundra for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200. This will mark LeMastus’ fourth Truck Series race of the 2018 season, his third start at a one-and-a-half-mile track.

 

“I learned a lot last weekend in Kansas,” LeMastus said. “I’m excited to get back to it and apply everything from the last race to give the DGR-Crosley guys the finish they deserve. I think it’s going to be a fun race under the lights, and I’m looking forward to working with Chris [Eggleston], I think he’s going to be huge asset to our team. The additional feedback and having another driver to lean on will only make us better. I’m really looking forward to this race.”

 

Qualifying for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 will kick-off at 4:40 p.m., ET on Friday, May 18, with racing action starting at 8:30 p.m. All NCWTS on-track activity will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 (FS1). When the green flag flies for 200 miles of racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the race will be broken up into three segments with Stage 1 ending on lap 40, Stage 2 ending on lap 80 and the completion of the race will occur on lap 134.
