Daniel Hemric To Make First Camping World Truck Series Start of 2018 at Charlotte

Young’s Motorsports announced that 27-year-old Daniel Hemric will be making his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start since 2016 this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

The Kannapolis, N.C., native made his NASCAR debut in 2013 during the NCWTS race at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway and became a full-time Truck Series driver in 2015. Hemric competed at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the NCWTS twice earning his best finish of ninth in 2016. He also has a top-10 finish at the 1.5-mile track in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) in October 2017.  Hemric currently competes full-time in the NXS piloting the No. 21 Chevrolet Camaro for Richard Childress Racing.

“I am really excited to have Daniel in our truck this week at Charlotte,” said team president, Tyler Young. “He has had a lot of success in the past in the Truck Series. As part of our partnership with Team Dillon, Over Kill Motorsports will be featured on our truck. I met Mitch [Cleary] last year and I am glad we have this opportunity to work together. I’m looking forward to a great weekend at Charlotte.”

With the partnership of Team Dillon, Hemric will pilot the Young’s Motorsports No. 20 Over Kill Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado in Friday night’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200.

“This week we are proud to sponsor Daniel Hemric as he will be driving the 20 Truck for Young’s Motorsports,” said Mitchell Clary, owner of Over Kill. “This is an incredible partnership between Over Kill, Team Dillon and Young Motorsports to feature some of the best drivers in the world in the Truck Series which is beneficial for all parties involved.”

Over Kill Motorsports was established as a family business in 2009. It was a humble beginning for the father and son team of Mitch and Mitchell Clary who started the business out of their back yard. Through the years with hard work, dedication, quality products and commitment to excellent service, they earned their customers loyalty and support. Fast forward to the present and Over Kill has become one of the most trusted and successful Motorcoach, Trailer and Golf Cart Dealers in the United States with customers all over the country and abroad.

“It’s always good to have an opportunity to race at home,” said Kannapolis, N.C., native Hemric. “I’m really looking forward to this one with Young’s Motorsports and my first time back in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series since the end of 2016. We will have a lot of family and friends in attendance cheering on our Over Kill Motorsports No. 20 Chevy Silverado this weekend and I can’t wait to go have some fun.”

Friday’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be live on FS1 at 8:30pm ET.
