Two drivers will race for the ARCA Menards Series West championship later Friday at Phoenix Raceway. Those two drivers? Sean Hingorani and Tyler Reif.
Hingorani enters the season finale at the 1.0-mile Phoenix track with a 14-point edge over Reif. This means that, no matter where Reif finishes in the race, Hingorani will claim the title if he finishes ninth or better.
Unless Reif wins Friday, Hingorani heads into the weekend with the tiebreaker should the two tie. Piloting the No. 15 Toyota, Hingorani holds the tiebreaker as he has three victories on Reif’s two this year.
Tie breakers in the ARCA Menards Series West are decided on the following factors:
- Events entered and competed in
(Hingorani: 12, Reif: 12 – Incl Phoenix)
- Most victories
(Hingorani: 3, Reif: 2)
- Most top five-five finishes
(Hingorani: 10, Reif: 9)
- Most top 10 finishes
(Hingorani: 10, Reif: 9)
- Most poles
(Hingorani: 2, Reif: 3)
- Average finishing position
(Hingorani: 3.7, Reif: 4.6 – entering Phoenix)
The Desert Diamond Casino West Valley 100 will air live on FloRacing and MRN Radio at 1:30 p.m. ET. William Sawalich will start on the pole for the championship deciding event.
