Ron Wimmer, Barry Beggarly and Jarrod Wright on This Week in ASA Racing Radio Show
An ASA Member Track Promoter and two ASA Member Track point leaders will be the guests on “This Week in ASA Racing” radio show. The new show will air this Wednesday night at 7pm Eastern on RaceTalkRadio.com.
Ron Wimmer is the Promoter of State Park Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Wausau, WI. He will be on to talk about the Flip Merwin Memorial race that is scheduled for this Thursday night. The Super Late Model event will pay $2,525 to the winner. Wimmer will talk about their season so far and give us some great stories about who Flip Merwin was and why this event was named after him.
We will also catch up with 2011 ASA Member Track National Champion Barry Beggarly. Beggarly won his first feature of the year last Friday night at Ace Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Altamahaw, NC. Beggarly is now tied with Speedy Faucette in the Late Model standings with Dustin Rumley only two points behind the two veteran drivers.
Jarrod Wright is a 16-year-old Mini Cup driver at Newport Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track in Newport, TN. He won the track championship in 2011 and is currently tied at the top of the standings going into this weekend. We will talk to the young driver about his career and get his advice for other teenagers looking at competing in short track racing.
