ASA Tech Director Featured In New Issues of Circle Track Magazine

The April, 2012 issue of Circle Track magazine is starting to show up in mailboxes and newsstands over the next couple of weeks.  The new issue has a feature article on ASA Midwest Tour Tech Director Mike “Lumpy” Lemke.

The article titled “Inside the Mind of a Tech Director” gives readers an inside look at the gentleman who is the Tech Director not only for the popular Midwest Super Late Model series, but also for two ASA Member Tracks (Norway Speedway in Norway, MI & State Park Speedway in Wausau, WI), and the ASA Transcontinental Series.

Another item shared in the articles is how Lemke is working with other tech directors on a common set of super late model rules, which would allow competitors to compete in different series and events without making high dollar changes.

He also gives his insights on other topics happening in short track racing today.

“We are very excited that Circle Track chose to do a feature on Mike Lemke,” Dennis Huth, ASA President said.  “He is one of many unsung heroes in short track racing and he deserves a story like this in the popular magazine.  We are grateful to Rob Fisher for this opportunity for everyone to get to know the person we work with on a daily basis at ASA Racing.”

“I had the opportunity to meet Mike and see how he works during the ASA event in South Africa nearly two years ago,” Rob Fisher, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief for Circle Track magazine said. “He is someone that is very dedicated and passionate about his job.  We are glad to share his story with our readers.”
