Ryan Preece bounced back from an abbreviated run two weeks ago at Dover to score a 22nd-place finish in Saturday’s Hisense 4K TV 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Preece, driving the Flex Seal Chevrolet, started 26th and moved into the top 20 early in the race.
“We missed the setup just slightly on the 01 car,” said team owner Johnny Davis. “We could have gotten Ryan closer to the front. But it was another finish and another good learning day.”
JD Motorsports with Gary Keller had one of its best outings of the season. Preece’s teammates Garrett Smithley finished 15th and Ross Chastain 17th.
Preece remained 18th in Xfinity driver points.
