Ross Chastain qualified well and scored a 24th-place finish in Friday night’s Drive For The Cure 300 Xfinity Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The rookie started the 200-lap race in 19th position.
Chastain stayed 15th in Xfinity driver points.
“We had a pretty good car, but we couldn’t run with the top group,” Chastain said. “Kind of finished where we started, but we learned a lot and we’ll go on to Kansas with some more knowledge.”
