NXS: Austin Dillon Victorious at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Austin Dillon ended his Friday night at the Charlotte Motor Speedway victorious in the 34th annual Drive for the Cure 300. Dillon led a total of 61 laps of the race to capture his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series victory of the season. The North Carolina native has 11 top five and 13 top 10 finishes over the course of 16 starts.  

Erik Jones will leave the Charlotte Motor Speedway with a runner-up finish in the No. 20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing. Jones started the evening at the front and stayed there all evening long. The Michigan native came 2.809 seconds shy of scoring his third win of the year. Jones will leave the 1.5-mile oval with 10 top five and 14 top 10 finishes.

Brad Keselowski also had a quiet evening behind the wheel of his No. 22 Discount Tire Ford for Team Penske. Keselowski started the night in the 13th starting position when the field received the green. The 2012 Sprint Cup Series champion will leave the Charlotte Motor Speedway with a third-place finish.

Chris Buescher will have a 26-point lead over Chase Elliott as the series travels to the Midwest next weekend. Buescher ran inside the top five until later in the race when the handling of the car went away. The Texas native was able to salvage a seventh-place run in his No. 60 Ford. Regan Smith, Ty Dillon and Darrell Wallace Jr. round out the top five.

Kasey Kahne and Kyle Busch had some fireworks on the track as the 200-lap event came to a close. Kahne and Busch exchanged door handles before Busch would find himself getting into the wall and ending his night. The Las Vegas native would finish in the 31st-position after starting in fifth. Kahne would later finish in the 12th position when the checkered flag ended the event.

The Kansas Speedway will be the next stop on the NASCAR XFINITY Series tour. Coverage will begin on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET. on NBCSN. The Motor Racing Network will carry the live radio broadcast of the Kansas Lottery 300.
