Ganassi Sound Garage to be featured on No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro at Road America

HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi (HSMCG) announced today that Ganassi Sound Garage will be featured on the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro for the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Road America on Saturday, Aug. 29 (3:00 p.m. EDT on NBC Sports Network). The No. 42 Ganassi Sound Garage Chevrolet Camaro will be driven by road course specialist Justin Marks in the final road course race on the 2015 XFINITY Series season schedule.

On the heels of the wildly-popular and first-of-its-kind event for millennials last Fall, Ganassi Sound Garage will feature Big Machine Label Group’s recording artist A Thousand Horses. Ganassi Sound Garage will once again take place at the team’s Concord, N.C., headquarters on Monday, Oct. 5. The event will be hosted by a diverse sampling of the team’s millennial driver lineup, including HSMCG driver’s Kyle Larson and Brennan Poole, fellow XFINITY Series driver Dylan Kwasniewski and Chip Ganassi Racing INDYCAR driver Sage Karam.

The event hosted over 200 social media savvy millennials and influencers last year, and expects to more than triple the turnout this year with a target audience that includes influencers, curators and heavy social media users.

“HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi is proud to help promote Ganassi Sound Garage this weekend at Road America,” said team owner Harry Scott Jr. “It’s a tremendous event that brings together motorsports and young fans. I’m also really excited to see what Justin Marks can do as well. He is a lot of fun to watch on a road course, so I imagine it will be a very exciting for everyone watching.”

“The car looks awesome and I know everyone on the team is working hard to prepare a great car to take to the track,” said Marks. “I really love road course racing and we had a fast car at Mid-Ohio which makes me excited for this tremendous opportunity.”

Marks has competed in many forms of road-course racing as well as all three of NASCAR’s national series, the NASCAR Sprint Cup, XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series. He was also part of the winning team in the 2009 Rolex 24 At Daytona in the GT division of the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship. Marks has 12 career XFINITY Series starts, scoring a career-best sixth place finish in last year’s race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
