Tomy Drissi and No. 26 “Straight Outta Compton” Toyota Heads to Mid-Ohio

For the second week in a row, road racing champion Tomy Drissi will join JGL Racing as the NASCAR XFINITY Series heads to the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.  Drissi will pilot the No. 26 “Straight Outta Compton”Toyota Camry in Saturday’s  running of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 at the Ohio road course.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is the race sponsor for the third year of the NASCAR Xfinity Series event held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Ten patients and their families get to spend the day with some of the biggest names in NASCAR.

“This is a fantastic event,” said Tomy. “My wife (Lacy) and I recently became parents to twins, so it’s extra meaningful to be here and help out with such a worthy cause. This one hits close to home.”

“We had a good week at Watkins Glen,” continue Tomy. “I’m really looking forward to climbing back into the JGL Racing Toyota. We struggled a bit but I think we’ve got things worked at. Plus, I had a decent run here with the JGL guys last year where we finished 23rd. And, this is such a great place to be racing. I’m really excited to bring Universal Pictures to Mid-Ohio and promote the movie, Straight Outta Compton.”

It should be noted, Tomy will also run in the Trans Am Series Next Dimension 100, presented by FirstEnergy, also featured at Mid-Ohio earlier in the day on Saturday.

The running of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 will be Saturday August 15th and can be seen LIVE on NBC Sports Network at 3:00 pm ET.  It can also be heard on Motor Racing Network (MRN) and Sirius Channel 90.
