Benny Gordon to Drive the No. 66 for Performance Energy Group at Daytona

Benny Gordon will make his second NASCAR XFINITY Series start of the 2015 season after successfully competing at Talladega Superspeedway in May. Gordon will pilot the No. 66 SRWR/VSI Toyota Camry for recently established team, Performance Energy Group at Daytona International Speedway in the Subway Firecracker 250 (July 4, 7:30pm ET, NBCSN, MRN).

“I’m looking forward to getting back in the car at Daytona,” says Benny Gordon. “We’ve taken the past month off from racing to prepare for the July 4th race, and finish in another successful position. I can’t thank Larry Mostoller from SRWR and Frank Varischetti from VSI enough for their support. Howard Bixman has also has done a tremendous job with building this NASCAR Xfinity team from scratch in just about a month, and getting our team up and running.”

The Subway Firecracker 250 will mark Gordon’s second start at Daytona International Speedway in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Gordon has also made two starts at Daytona in the ARCA Racing Series.

Somerset Regional Water Resources (SRWR) and VSI Racing will serve as Gordon’s primary marketing partners. SRWR is a multifaceted company providing services to the Oil and Natural Gas Industries, and is also a leading water, transportation and well site support service provider for the Northeastern and Western Pennsylvania and Ohio areas.

Serving as Gordon’s Crew Chief is Howard Bixman. Bixman has worked alongside Benny Gordon in the ARCA Racing Series and the NASCAR XFINITY Series since 2011. Bixman has been to Victory Lane at Daytona International Speedway, winning the Lucas Oil 200 in 2014.
