Kyle Busch Foundation to Host Pretty In Pink Foundation “Champions” at CMS

As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Kyle Busch Foundation (KBF) will host active North Carolina breast cancer patients from Pretty In Pink Foundation during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on Saturday, Oct. 10. Additionally, KBF is donating $57,000 to cover the medical expenses of the 22 “Champions” who are currently going through treatments for breast cancer. To help raise awareness for the cause, Kyle Busch will be driving a special pink No. 18 M&M’s Camry for the race Saturday night, and a pink-themed No. 54 Monster Energy Camry in Friday’s XFINITY Series race.

Since 2013, KBF has donated over $200,000 to Pretty In Pink Foundation to cover the expenses of breast cancer treatments for 76 patients who are either uninsured, or underinsured. KBF raises funds throughout the year, and donates a percentage of the merchandise sales of Busch’s special paint scheme for the Charlotte race.  In addition to trackside sales, merchandise for the pink No. 18 M&M’s Camry can be purchased at www.RowdyBusch.com.

“The Champions we meet from Pretty In Pink Foundation are truly an inspiration,” said Samantha Busch.  “Not only are they courageously fighting this awful disease, but they are also dealing with mounting medical and everyday expenses. Nobody should have to choose whether to pay for life-saving treatments, or pay their mortgage every month. By donating this money to the Champions, our hope is it will take away the financial stress so they can focus on their health and getting better.”

“Kyle and Samantha Busch are one of our strongest supporters and what they do for Pretty In Pink Foundation is life-saving to our Champions,” said Penny Lauricella, MHA and Executive Director at Pretty In Pink Foundation. “Because of the Kyle Busch Foundation, we are able to open the door to many folks experiencing financial hardship due to their breast cancer diagnosis. No one should have to go without life-saving treatment. Kyle and Samantha are engaged in our foundation, know the Champions by name and show personal attention to each and every one they meet. We understand there are many other deserving organizations the Kyle Busch Foundation could support, and we are so appreciative they choose Pretty In Pink Foundation. They are simply lifesavers.”
