Team Biffle wins Roush Fenway Racing Wellness Challenge

On Monday, the Roush Fenway Racing No. 16 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series teams wrapped up the RFR Wellness Challenge, naming Team Biffle the champions. Biffle’s team totaled 232 active minutes, 87,176 steps and 19,710 calories burned for the week.

Here’s how the drivers performed in their stint and the final totals for each team:

The RFR Wellness Challenge was initiated to highlight how important it is for everyone to take better control of their health, including those living with diabetes, ahead of Saturday’s Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis. The tire changers and carriers wore the fitness trackers the first four days of Indianapolis race week, followed by the crew chiefs on Friday and the drivers on their respective race days.

“It was awesome to see how invested the guys were in this wellness challenge this past week,” said Reed. “I’m so proud of the guys for their hard work and their continual commitment to the Drive to Stop Diabetes program. It was really fun to involve Biffle’s team in this initiative and I want to thank them for helping us spread awareness and encouragement to those living with diabetes and I want to congratulate them on the victory.”

Ryan Reed and Greg Biffle both raced the No. 16 Lilly Diabetes Ford in their respective NASCAR series races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, marking Lilly’s first ever Sprint Cup Series start. Biffle brought home a 19th-place finish in Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, while Reed finished 20th in Saturday’s Lilly Diabetes 250.
