Whitt to Pilot the No.26 Toyota of Scranton Toyota Camry at Pocono

The ownership and staff of the region’s number one Toyota dealership, Toyota of Scranton announced today a breakthrough sponsorship of the No.26 Toyota Camry, driven by Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Cole Whitt at the GoBowling.com 400 at Pocono Raceway this weekend.

Toyota of Scranton President, Greg Gagorik summed up the groundbreaking sponsorship, “This is a huge opportunity for our regional Toyota dealership. To be involved with the number one car manufacturer in the world and their racing efforts at this level at the Pocono race is very exciting. To be a title sponsor of a Sprint Cup Toyota Camry, especially with someone as fresh and exciting as Cole Whitt, is very exciting for our team.”

“We are very excited to welcome Toyota of Scranton to the No.26 team for this weekend in Pocono,” said team co-owner Anthony Marlowe. “Toyota continues to be a great partner for BK Racing in our third full season in Sprint Cup. To have one of their local dealerships on-board is an honor.”

“I would like to thank Toyota of Scranton for stepping up on my Toyota Camry this weekend,” said Whitt. “We hope to give them the best run possible at “The Tricky Triangle.”

Whitt is scheduled to appear tonight at the Toyota of Scranton dealership from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm at 3400 North Main Ave. in Scranton.

This year will mark the highest level of commitment to the local race and Gagorik feels it is part of the dealership’s local presence and commitment to community. “We have customers in this market that are race fans and we support Toyota Racing in a big way this year.  It is going to be very exciting to see our Toyota of Scranton logo on all over the No.26 car as it flies around the tri-oval at Pocono.”

Additionally, August is the month when Toyota of Scranton will be holding their biggest sale in company history, the annual Toyota of Scranton 500.  Last year’s sale shattered the 500 cars sold mark for one month and the dealership is eager to try and best their previous record by selling over 500 cars in one month.
