New Fanatics NASCAR Trackside Superstore at Talladega Superspeedway To Enhance Fan Retail Experience

Race fans coming to Talladega Superspeedway for the CampingWorld.com 500 and fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola Weekend (October 23-25) will experience a whole new way to shop for merchandise of their favorite drivers. The new Fanatics NASCAR Trackside Superstore, which will be located in the track’s Horsepower Plaza outside the frontstrech near turn four, is replacing separate souvenir haulers from years past, revolutionizing the retail experience.

Fanatics, the largest retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, has partnered with NASCAR to run the at-track merchandise business for the sport, delivering fans an enhanced, experiential shopping environment. Fanatics powers the eCommerce business for hundreds of top sports leagues, teams and schools, including a long history running NASCAR’s eCommerce business, and incorporates its industry-leading technology into the new retail model to create the ultimate shopping experience for NASCAR fans.

Fans attending the fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola (NASCAR Camping World Truck Series) on Oct. 24 and the CampingWorld.com 500 (NASCAR Sprint Cup Series) on Oct. 25 will experience the new 60,000-square foot tent and can browse in comfort through covered 16 x 10-foot modules dedicated to their favorite drivers and teams. In addition to the NASCAR Trackside Superstore, Horsepower Plaza is also the location for many other fan-friendly displays and activities for fans to enjoy throughout the weekend.

“Talladega Superspeedway’s and NASCAR’s goal is to always improve the fan experience,”  Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch said. “For merchandising, we have found the right partner to deliver more and provide a unique setting for our fans to experience. Fanatics will bring a large assortment of products, more contemporary designs and lots of new brands to our events. It’s their core business. They know what’s hot right now, and I believe that race fans are going to love what they find in the new superstore.”

The Fanatics NASCAR Trackside Superstore, which debuted in Pocono in early August, will have enhanced benefits including a larger merchandise selection with more drivers represented, quick and easy checkout, a more functional way to browse, shop and interact with merchandise and a dedicated area for driver appearances.

The upcoming Talladega weekend will feature some of the season’s most exciting racing action on the 33-degree banks of NASCAR’s Most Competitive Track. The fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola (which will start at noon CDT on Saturday, Oct. 24) will prove to be a pivotal race in deciding this year’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion while the CampingWorld.com 500 (which will start at 1:30 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Oct. 25) will be the sixth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup and the final race in the Contender Round, where the field of eligible drivers will be trimmed from 12 to eight at the checkered flag.
