Greg Peterson Back In Victory Lane At Dillon Motor Speedway

Dillon Motor Speedway hosted the Positive Automotive 300 on Saturday, August 23.

Greg Peterson, a multi-time winner this season took the checkered flag in the 50-lap Late Model feature. Randy Benson had a strong runner-up finish. Jason Clark finished third with Tim Allensworth right on his back bumper in fourth. Jon Lane rounded out the top-five.

Jimmy Herrington was able to hold off rival, Hal Goodson to capture the victory in the Super Truck feature this past Saturday night. Bill Hogan had a strong third place finish, followed by Kevin Parsons in fourth and Jake VunCannon in fifth.

Jason Calhoun earned yet another victory in the Charger feature. Michael Williamson who has been strong all season long crossed the line in second. Ricky Locklair Jr. captured his first top-three finish of the season in the division. Ben Watford finished fourth, and Brian Owens finished fifth.

Brian Obiedzenski won his first event of the season at the speedway after taking the checkered flag in the Pure Stock Four feature. Kayla Dean finished second with veteran, Kevin Jackson finishing right behind her. Marty Dean who’s been dominate all season long had to settle for a fourth place finish. JR Moore rounded out the top-five.

Ricky Locklair Jr., known for his success in the Street Stock division is making his self quite at home in the Mini Cup Stock division. He captured another victory on Saturday night. Steve Lauffer finished second, followed by Steve Chauncey, Logan Owens and Susan Coonfield.

Devin O’Connell won the Allison Legacy Series race with Hunter Moody finishing second, Daniel Bedford third, Jake Ruggles fourth and Robbie Allison fifth.

Dillon Motor Speedway will host the 8th Annual Raceway Automotive Labor Day Monday race on Monday, September 1. To honor fans, the Speedway is opening the grandstands for free. There’s also no parking fees.

Division competing include Late Model Twin 30’s, $1,200 to win with possible $1,000 bonus to the driver who wins both features; Chargers, $500 to win, Street Stocks, $400 to win; Pure Stock Fours, $300 to win; and Mini Cup Stocks, $100 to win.
