NKNPS: Todd Gilliland Wins Casey General Stores 150 at Iowa Speedway

Todd Gilliland took his No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota to victory lane at Iowa Speedway on Friday. Gilliland started the 150-lap race in the runner-up spot as Kyle Benjamin captured the pole. The North Carolina native, the son of part-time Sprint Cup Series driver David Gilliland, dominated the Casey General Stores 150.

Kyle Benjamin finished the Casey’s General Stores 150 in the second spot after starting the race on the pole. Benjamin, driving the No. 40 Ranier Racing Chevrolet, battled for the lead with race winner Todd Gilliland all evening long. The second-place finish marks his sixth top five and seventh top 10 finish this year.

Austin Theriault rounded out the top three when the race came to a close Friday. Theriault finished right where he started the Casey’s General Stores 150. The younger driver will leave the 0.875-mile oval with six top five and seven top 10 finishes.

Colin Cabre ran inside the top five throughout the night in his No. 2 Max Siegel Inc. Toyota. The 22-year old driver finished fourth after starting the evening in third. Cabre leaves Iowa Speedway with two top five and four top 10 finishes.
