NKNPS: Kyle Benjamin Wins Casey’s General Stores 150 Pole at Iowa Speedway

Kyle Benjamin scored the pole for the Casey’s General Stores 150 at Iowa Speedway with a time and speed of 23.852, 132.064 mph. when the qualifying session ended. Unlike NASCAR’s top three series, K&N Pro Series continues to use the old-school qualifying system where a driver gets two laps.

Todd Gilliland will take the green flag right beside Benjamin in his No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota. Gilliland. son of part-time Sprint Cup Series driver David Gilliland, posted a 23.880, 131.910 mph. lap around the 0.875-mile Iowa Speedway. The young driver enters the Casey’s General Stores 150 looking to capture his sixth career win in the series.

Austin Theriault will round out the top three drivers when the NASCAR K&N Pro Series race gets going. Theriault posted a 29.958, 131.480 mph. around the small oval located in Newton, Iowa. The young driver enters the day looking to capture his first career win in the series. He holds five top five and six top 10 finishes through 10 career starts.
