Kyle Weatherman Back with Mason Mitchell Motorsports at Winchester

After an impressive runner-up finish in his first race last weekend at Madison International Speedway with Mason Mitchell Motorsports (MMM), Kyle Weatherman returns to the seat of the No. 98 machine for this weekend’s Herr’s Potato Chips 200 at the Winchester Speedway.

“I Love high-banked tracks,” an excited Weatherman stated.  Salem and Winchester are quite similar to one another; however, Winchester has a lot more grip. Winchester is a multi-groove track which allows you to race side-by-side and search for new lanes.”

“I am looking forward to working with Mason and the MMM guys. They all work very hard to prepare fast cars and I think we will be in contention to win on Sunday. They won this race last year, I want to make it two years in a row for them.”

The 18-year-old driver enters the tenth race of the 2016 season third in Short Track Challenge presented by Protect Plus points. This weekend’s race marks the fifth installment of the 2016 edition of the Short Track Challenge.

The Wentzville, Missouri native was credited with the Valvoline Lap Leader last week at Madison leading 109/200 laps.

Weatherman is no stranger to success racing on ARCA short tracks in 27 starts he’s earned 16 top-five’s and 22 top-ten finishes.

Weatherman has three starts at Winchester earning one pole, two top-five’s and 2 top-ten finishes with a best finish of fourth twice.

Last year MMM won at Winchester in a thriller as driver Austin Wayne Self wrestled the lead away from Brandon Jones on the afternoon’s final restart. It marked the first victory for Self in ARCA.

Chassis Information: Weatherman will be behind the wheel of chassis No. 589. He raced the chassis to a second place finish last weekend at Madison. The chassis has 12 starts earning one win (Iowa), nine top-five’s, and ten top-ten finishes.
