NASCAR NEXT Driver Noah Gragson Set for First ARCA start of 2016 with Mason Mitchell Motorsports at Pocono

Fresh off a third place finish Monday afternoon with the NASCAR K&N Series at the Dominion Raceway, Noah Gragson will focus on making his first ARCA start of the 2016 season with Mason Mitchell Motorsports (MMM) at the Pocono Raceway Friday afternoon.

He will be driving the No. 78 AlertID Chevrolet. Gragson who was recently selected to the 2016 NASCAR NEXT class will test Tuesday at Pocono in preparation for the seventh ARCA race of the 2016 season the General Tire #ANYWHEREisPossible 200.

The 17-year-old from Las Vegas, Nevada has one prior ARCA start with MMM coming last fall at the Kentucky Speedway where he finished 14th. Gragson tested at Daytona International Speedway with MMM in January, but due to no meeting the minimum age requirement he wasn’t able to race.

“I am really thankful to be back racing with Mason Mitchell Motorsports,” Gragson stated. “Pocono is one of the most unique tracks in the United States with three completely different corners. It truly tests driver’s skills.”

“The test will help us find a baseline to prepare for the race on Friday. Looking at the entry list, there’s going to be a lot of tough competition. MMM is a top notch organization and brings fast cars to the track. I am looking forward to Friday.”

Noah is racing both the K&N East and West in 2016 and is sitting inside the top-five in points in both series.

Mason Mitchell Motorsports has five prior starts at the Pocono Raceway earning one pole, two top-five finishes and four top-10’s. Their best finish came in the June 2014 race when they finished runner-up with Mason Mitchell behind the wheel.
