Raphael Lessard No. 99 FRL Express/Toyota/JBL Audio – Hickory Motor Speedway

Currently leading the drivers’ championship of the CARS Racing Tours series and just off a second-place finish at the most recent race at the Orange County Speedway in North Carolina, the native of St- Joseph-de-Beauce is heading back to North Carolina this week, this time to Newton’s Hickory Motor Speedway.
 
Raphaël Lessard will compete in the third race of 10 in the CARS SUPER LATE MODEL TOUR  championship at the wheel of his car, the 99 FRL Express/Team Coach Imaging/Toyota/JBL Auto of the David Gilliland Racing Team this Saturday at Hickory.
 
In preparation for the race, he will be on track Thursday May 5 for a day of private testing, before returning to the track for open practice the following day. The SUPER LATE MODEL race is to take place at approximately 7:30 p.m. Saturday evening, just before the late Model stock car race. On this occasion and for the remainder of the season, car #99 will be adorned with the logo of a new partner, that of Team Coach Imaging (in Quebec: http://www.lettrapub.com), a Beauce company which specializes in fleet signage and digital printing for buses as well as recreational vehicles.
 
The Hickory Motor Speedway is nicknamed the ‘”World’s Most Famous Short Track” and the “Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars.” It is 0.363 miles long (584 metres) with banks of 14 degrees on turns 1 and 2, 12 degrees on turns 3 and 4, and eight degrees in the straightaways.
