Cole Rouse – NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Preview – Tucson Speedway

Following a career-best finish of third at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, Calif., on April 2. Cole Rouse returns to the seat of the No. 6 Sunrise Ford Ford Fusion on Saturday at Tucson (Ariz.) Speedway.

The 18-year-old Ark. native enters the NAPA Auto Parts Wildcat 150 fifth in NASCAR K&N Pro Series West (NKNPSW) point standings.

“It’s been a pretty long time off for the West Series but I’m really excited about getting back on track,” Rouse said. “We had a solid run at Kern a few weeks back. This Sunrise Ford Racing team is only going to get stronger.

“I’ve never been to Tucson, so this weekend will be a learning experience. I’ll lean on the experience of my teammate, Ryan Partridge, to help ease the learning curve.”

Rouse has started his rookie NKNPSW campaign impressively with a ninth-place finish at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway and a third-place finish at Kern County Raceway Park. This Saturday will mark Rouse’s first start at Tucson Speedway. His Sunrise Ford Racing teammate, Ryan Partridge, finished fourth in this race one year ago.

The NAPA Auto Parts Wildcat 150 will commence on Saturday, May 7. The race will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network on Thursday, May 12 at 6 p.m., EDT.
