JA Junior Announces ARCA Series Debut At Pocono With Lira Motorsports

West coast racer Jairo Avila, Jr., who goes by the nickname JA Junior, announced today that he will make his ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards debut at Pocono Raceway in theModSpace 125 this Saturday, August 1st. The twenty-year old driver will be behind the wheel for Lira Motorsports in their number 58 Ford Fusion.

JA Junior’s ARCA car will carry sponsorship from Art General Contractor, Inc. as well as Lira Motorosports season-long partners Momo, TraqGear and Ford Performance. JA Junior is an INEX Legends racing veteran, with 20 wins and multiple championships between 2009 and 2013. He moved to full size stock cars in 2014, splitting time between the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and the Lucas Oil Modified Series. He collected four top 10 finishes in five K&N Series starts and two top ten finishes in four Lucas Oil races. JA Junior also participated in NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Combine in 2014. The Avila family, originally from Columbia, currently resides in Alhambra, California.
 
On-track schedule: The ARCA Racing Series drivers have a practice session on Friday, July 31st from 12:30-1:55pm. Menards Pole Qualifying Presented by Ansell begins Friday at 6:00pm. The start of the ModSpace 125 is scheduled for Saturday, August 1st at 3:15pm. The race will be televised live on FOX Sports 2, with coverage beginning at 3:00pm local time. Additionally, all on-track activity will be featured in live Timing & Scoring at arcaracing.com. The race is 50 laps (125 miles).
