Bryan Herta Rallysport Set to Debut in Red Bull GRC

This weekend will mark the competitive debut of the Bryan Herta Rallysport team in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Series. Since the team’s formation last fall, co-owners Bryan Herta and Sean Jones have been assembling a championship caliber team of drivers, engineers, mechanics, and corporate partners. This weekend in Ft. Lauderdale, BHR will have a chance to show the motorsports world we’re ready to contend for the Red Bull GRC championship.

“This weekends GRC Event in Ft. Lauderdale is the start of an era for Bryan Herta Rallysport,” stated co-owner Sean Jones. “It’s the culmination of an idea matched with the hard work and talent of group of motivated and talented individuals working as one.  I for one am looking forward to those efforts bearing fruit on the track.  Let the season begin!”

BHR will field M-Sport Supercars for Kobalt Tools sponsored driver Patrik Sandell of Sweden and Castrol MAGNATEC driver Austin Dyne of the United States. Additionally, River Racing with BHR will campaign Collete Davis in the GRC Lites division.

Patrik Sandell on his debut with BHR, the 2015 season, and the Ft. Lauderdale Event: “I am really looking forward to working with BHR this season,  we are thinking the same way and they want success as much as I do, so we are working very closely together to achieve that. Also, I’m super happy to be back with Lowe’s and Kobalt Tools, they are the best partner I could possibly have in the whole world: they believe in me and the sport. They have a great motorsports history in NASCAR with Jimmie Johnson, and I have promise them that BHR and I will create a few more pages in their history books of motorsport success.”  “All of our pre-eseason testing has been great, the M-Sport car really fits me as its based on a WRC rallycar, so I feel like I’ve come home again. I spent many years driving rallycars that had the same feeling and movement in the chassis so I just love it!” “The Ft. Lauderdale track looks good on paper, it reminds me a bit of the the Washington DC track, and I won that race last year, so this could be a good start to this season. I also have one more year of GRC under my belt. I learned a lot about the sport last year and I got my first win, so I feel very confident going into the season. We are here to deliver a good show, bring value to our partners, and win the championship!”

Austin Dyne on the 2015 season: “I’m really amped for the season to start. I feel we as a team are in a really good spot for the first race and  feel really good about all of our preparations.  Testing has gone well, the Castrol MAGNATEC car looks and feels awesome.  I’m ready for battle!!”

Collete Davis on the 2015 season: “I’m very excited to start this new chapter in my racing career. River Racing has given me a great opportunity in the GRC Lites division to learn this style of racing, and with the BHR team I’m going to be surrounded by great engineers, mechanics, and teammates. I look forward to getting the River Racing GRC Lites car on the podium.”
