Venturini Motorsports (VMS) announced today that 16-year old Anderson Bowen will make his sixth career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) start Friday, September 26 at Dover International Speedway – “Drive Sober 150” presented by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety behind the wheel of the No.25 Copper Creek Hardware/VMS Toyota Camry.

“Dover is going to be big! It’s always exciting to race alongside NASCAR in a companion weekend event,” says Bowen. “My goal is to compete strong, run all the laps and get out of their with a solid qualifying and top-10 finish. Running with Venturini Motorsports gives me added confidence; they’re always prepared and have proven themselves as one of the best development deals around.”

Bowen, a native of Suwanne, Georgia has been busy over the last few seasons splitting his time between a variety of national and regional touring series including the NKNPSE, ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards (ARCA) with Cunningham Motorsports and the ARCA/CRA Series powered by JEGS and the Southern Super Series with his own team, Anderson Bowen Racing (ABR).

A two-time Quarter Midget Association national champion, Anderson moved onto Bandolero competition where he earned the Atlanta Motor Speedway championship in 2010. From there, he progressed into late model competition, earning the 2011 Southern Pro Challenge championship.

In 2012, Anderson qualified outside pole for the Winchester 400, finished second in the Larry Fleeman Memorial at Gresham Motorsports Park, set a new one lap track record at Winchester in the ARCA/CRA Series powered by JEGS and won the Watermelon 100 at Cordele Speedway.

In 2013 Bowen finished third at Mobile International Speedway in his first ever ARCA event. He earned a top-10 in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown in his first Late Model Stock start and impressively sat on the pole (finished 11th) in his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East-West combo debut at Iowa Speedway.

This year Bowen has made a total of seven K&N/ARCA starts and has collected three late-model wins and over 20 top-5 finishes driving for his family-owned late model team. His most recent super late model victory came two weeks ago in the 50th Alabama 200 at Montgomery Motor Speedway.
