Four-Time Monster Energy Supercross Champion Ryan Villopoto Throws Ceremonial First Pitch at San Diego’s PETCO Park During Padres Game

Defending four-time Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, champion Ryan Villopoto, took part in last night’s ceremonial first pitch at PETCO Park where the San Diego Padres faced off against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Throughout Villopoto’s 2014 championship season, he won six races and earned five additional podium finishes en route to clinching his fourth-consecutive Monster Energy Supercross title. Villopoto is just the second rider in Monster Energy Supercross history to win four consecutive championships.

“Throwing out the first pitch at a Padres game was an awesome experience,” said Villopoto. “I want to thank the Padres for this great opportunity. It’s a neat perspective to see a baseball stadium without a full supercross makeover. We are really excited to be racing here in downtown San Diego at PETCO Park for the first time ever in February.”

Monster Energy Supercross will make its awaited debut at PETCO Park in San Diego on Saturday, February 7. For ticket and event information, please visit www.SupercrossOnline.com.
