Hattori Racing Enterprises heads to Iowa with Toyota Technical Colleges of Japan

Hattori Racing Enterprises (HRE) will be making their 9th start in the NASCAR K&N east series this coming weekend at Iowa motor speedway for the Autolite Iridum XP 150. The team is pleased to have once again Ross Chastain back behind the wheel of the Yazaki Toyota Camry.

Chastain has an impressive record at Iowa motor speedway with just four starts his average finish at the 7/8th mile paved track is 10.5, he has one career pole that he earned just last year while with Brad Keslowsi Racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, where he also scored his best career finish of second place.

Each year HRE puts together a cultural exchange program with the top two students from the three technical colleges that are run by Toyota in Japan. This year the students will be attending school at NASCAR Technical Institute, while there they will be learning chassis applications such as, learning how to set the caster, camber and toe, how to make track bar changes and adjustments  as well as taking pit crew training classes.  During the race in Iowa there will be a half way break, at this time is when the students from Toyota Technical College of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kobe will pit the car and make any minor adjustments.
