Dirty Dozen Returns at SNMP’s Easter Bunny 320

It has been just over a month since the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stocks have graced the high banks of Southern National Motorsports Park, but that is all set to change this Saturday evening.  With all weather forecasts pointing to warm, sunny skies over SNMP, the Easter Bunny 320 promises to be the place to be in eastern North Carolina.

In the season opener, Tommy Lemons Jr. and national champion Lee Pulliam split the twin-75 lap event, while defending track and NC state champion Deac McCaskill struggled in the second half of the twin-bill.  All three drivers will battle in the second Dirty Dozen event, featuring two 75 lap races for the Late Model Stock class.  The overall season points winner across the twelve dirty dozen events will receive a $3,000 payout.

The entire SNMP local lineup will be in action Saturday night:  On top of 150 green flag laps of racing in Late Models, Limited Late Models, Chargers, Street Stocks, UCARs, Legends and Bandoleros will all take to North Carolina’s premiere short track, totaling 320 laps.  Front gates open at 2:00 PM, qualifying kicks off at 5:00 PM, and the green flag will fly at 7:00 PM.

On top of all of the on-track action, plenty of kids’ activities are planned for Saturday starting at 5:00 PM.  Kids will have an Easter egg hunt, as well as a chance to visit with the Easter Bunny!
