‘Race Around America’ Captures Reed’s Road Trip

Roush Fenway Racing’s Ryan Reed recently traveled from Indianapolis to Iowa as part of the latest road trip in the Walgreen’s ‘Race Around America’.  The webisode, featuring the driver of the No. 16 American Diabetes Association Drive to Stop DiabetesSMpresented by Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustang, includes activities in Indianapolis and a pit stop in Chicago with Roush Fenway teammate Chris Buescher.

The webisode kicks off at the famed drag strip in Indianapolis to show off the upgraded handling and braking package – voted on by the fans – on the Balance® Financial Mustang.  Reed’s pit crew joins in on the fun, dividing into two teams and performing an old-fashioned ‘pit stop’ on the Mustang.  The winning team earns dinner at the iconic St. Elmo’s Steak House, courtesy of Reed’s Balance® Financial Prepaid MasterCard from Walgreens.

Reed, team owner Jack Roush and his Roush Fenway teammates then visit Lilly Diabetes Headquarters in downtown Indianapolis for a campus-wide event.

Next up, Reed and Roush Fenway teammate Chris Buescher take off for Newton, Iowa.  On the way, the two make a brief stop in Chicago for a different kind of ‘race’ around the city.

The next ‘Race Around America’ Road Trip features Reed’s Roush Fenway teammate Trevor Bayne, traveling from Michigan to Bristol, Tennessee – via his hometown of Knoxville – behind the wheel of the Balance® Financial Mustang.  Fans are able to vote on the route as well as what upgrade the Mustang will receive.  At the end of the season, one lucky fan will win the fully loaded ROUSH Stage 3 Mustang.
