Brad Keselowski made one last run to secure the pole for Saturday’s Sta-Green 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He’ll hope to break the streak by becoming the first driver to win from the pole in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this season.
This is also Keselowski’s fourth NNS pole, which is the all-time record at the Magic Mile.
Kyle Busch held the pole until Keselowski grabbed the top spot. The defending race winner will start second in Saturday’s race.
Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) teammate Matt Kenseth rolls off third and is still looking for victory lane in all of NASCAR’s top three series in 2014.
Kyle Larson and Brian Scott rounded out the top five in qualifying.
Chase Elliott was the fastest rookie in sixth as three rookies qualified in the Top 10. Paul Menard, Trevor Bayne, Chris Buescher and Dylan Kwasniewski finished up the 10 fastest drivers.
Keselowski was also fastest in the first round of qualifying and was the only driver to hit 130 mph in both sessions.
There were two incidents during qualifying. The No. 87 of Josh Reaume went for a spin and the No. 13 of Carl Long blew a motor.
The No. 13 withdrew allowing the No. 74 of Kevin Lepage to start the race as 40 cars will take the green flag.
The Sta-Green 200 will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday and will air live on ESPN2.
