Ryan Ellis to drive the No. 50 at Texas Motor Speedway

Ryan Ellis will be driving the No. 50 Burnie Grill Chevrolet Silverado at Texas Motor Speedway. Ellis will be making his 3rd NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at the famed wild asphault circus known as Texas Motor Speedway. The No. 50 will be representing the Moonlight Fund during the WinStar World Casino & Resort 400.

Ryan Ellis stated, “To get an opportunity to drive the No. 50 truck for MAKE Motorsports is a big deal to me. I’ve had the opportunity to meet Carl and Stefan from Burnie and they’re great people, and also had the opportunity to personally cook on Burnie Grills at the Ronald McDonald house in Charlotte. I’m very proud to represent their amazing products along with Bubba Burger and The Moonlight Fund at a track I know very well and love in Texas Motor Speedway. I hope to get our Burnie Grill truck a solid top-20 finish and keep it clean! The mile and a half tracks have been hard on the trucks in our series and the best way to get a solid finish is to keep it in one piece!”

The Moonlight Fund provides 24/7 assistance to burn survivors and their family members, as well as families who have lost a loved one to a burn injury. The Moonlight Fund addresses the financial, emotional and physical needs in the hour of need. The Moonlight Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

In attendance with the MAKE Motorsports team on behalf of the Moonlight Fund will be military veteran Hardy Mills IV.  Hardy was injured in the battle of Fallujah. He is a highly decorated war hero, including the Purple Heart. The Moonlight Fund stepped in this year to pay for Hardy’s education. Everywhere he turned for help, he was shut down, until he contacted the Moonlight Fund. Hardy lives in the Dallas area with his wife and two children.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Ryan Ellis and MAKE Motorsports this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. Ryan has a history of giving back to others in need, he’s a perfect match for our mission. This new realtionship comes at an exciting time, as the Moonlight Fund is preparing to offer services nationwide. We are grateful to Ryan Ellis, MAKE Motorsports and the P1 Groupe for helping make this happen to share our message”, stated Celia Belt, Moonlight Fund co-founder.

Burnie Grills is the new all wood, self-burning grill will continue to be the primary sponsor on the No. 50 Chevrolet Silverado. Associate sponsors will continue to be Bubba Burger, AKL Insurance, WIX Filters, and Markanda Social Strategies.
