NCWTS: Kyle Busch Captures Texas Motor Speedway Win

Kyle Busch started in his ninth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race of the year behind the wheel of his No. 51 Toyota Tundra. Busch led 80 of the 152 laps after the race went into over-time. The 29-year-old scored his 42nd career victory after the caution came out on the final lap. The win tonight clinched the manufacture championship for Toyota.

Jeb Burton captured his best finish of the season after coming home with a runner-up finish behind Busch. Burton wasn’t able to lead any of the laps, but remained inside the top-10 for most of the evening. The 21-year-old continues to look for his first victory in 2014 after scoring one last season.

After NASCAR revised the unofficial finishing order, Timothy Peters will walk away from the Texas Motor Speedway with a third-place finishing effort. The finish marks his eighth inside the top-10 in 2014. Tyler Reddick, who was in third before the finishing order was revised, will leave the 1.5-mile oval in the fourth spot.

German Quiroga, who was one of the two drivers to stay out when the caution flown on lap 145 and led the field to green, will leave the Texas Motor Speedway with a 17th-place finish after wrecking on the final lap. Quiroga will head into the second to final race of the year hoping to capture his first career win.

Matt Crafton will leave the Texas Motor Speedway with a 23 point lead over Ryan Blaney. Darrell Wallace Jr., who blew an engine to finish in 26th, now rides in the third spot. Johnny Sauter and Timothy Peters will round out the top-five going into next weekend’s event.

The next race for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will be at the Phoenix International Raceway. Coverage will begin Saturday at 8:30 p.m. Et. live on Fox Sports 1. The Motor Racing Network will offer live radio coverage of the event.
